What If . . .
I had been a graphic designer before the computer age? I would have been great!
Hand me the chart tape and let's mock that up!
Now . . .
Forget it.
I spent years in front of the computer and I was soooo bored and lonely.
I need to touch and play and glue and have messy fingers. And I need to poke myself with a needle once in a while. Plus the smell of things . . .
Sensory oriented much?
Good news with the art room. I am almost done organizing. I can not believe the things I have found in there. I'm very excited and inspired too.
I am currently working through this class: "Using a Studio Journal: to develop your creativity and better your design skills" by Sharon Boggon through Joggles. You can check it out here. Fabulous. It has helped me redirect my thinking and get a handle on the work I love to do.

Oh I know exactly where you are coming from. If my hands aren't up to their elbows in art I'm a cranky girl!! Maybe it's because I entered the world of ether so late that I really have a love hate relationship with computers. I love how convenient it is to research and stay connected to family and friends. I also hate how easy and quick it is to be sucked out of the physical world :(
Think how good it's going to feel when you can be in your art room MAKING ART!!!!!!!!!!!! You Go Girl!!!!!!!! :)

Hi, Mistie! I know what you mean! I like actual scrapbooking much much more than digital scrapbooking. I love the feel of the paper and the experience of cutting and gluing and inking and making a mess. I need all those kinetic things that get lost when you just try to do it on the computer. Hope you're having a terrific weekend! :-)
